ABOUT RESEARCH FAIR

Research Fair was established in 2002 by the University of the Philippines Academic League of Chemical Engineering Students, or UP ALCHEMES, as part of its pursuit of academic excellence and service to the Filipino community. Initially, the event was a one-day research competition that catered to students from Metro Manila. Throughout the years, it eventually hosted seminars regarding scientific research as well as a problem solving competition.

Research Fair is one of the first national research competitions in the Philippines. It is now open to all high school students nationwide as it aims to create an environment where young researchers can connect with professionals towards the formation of an even stronger research community in the country.
