As the core of Research Fair, the Research Competition (RC) continues to be a terminal for which the youth can showcase their research projects and be exposed to other research perspectives and insights from various fields, along with scientific breakthroughs that ultimately align with the event’s objective of shaping the youth to be the nation builders of tomorrow.

RC 2025
The Final Defense of the Research Fair 2025 Research Competition took place on the 18th of January, 2025, and witnessed outstanding achievements from young scientists. AS-010 from Philippine Science High School – Main Campus claimed the top spot in Applied Science Category, LS-055 from Negros Occidental National Science High School shone the brightest in Life Science Category, and PS-029 from Philippine Science High School – Main Campus excelled in the Physical Science Category.
As we approach Research Fair 2026, new and innovative scientific ideas from the Filipino youth is envisaged to ignite on the stage once again. Following the same competitive structure, four rigorous rounds—Journal Entry, Exhibit Presentation, Closed-Door Defense, and Final Defense—will allow participants to refine and transform their ideas into an outstanding piece of scientific literature. Only the brightest six entries per category will advance to the Closed-Door Defense, and from them, the top two will battle in the Final Defense. Who will radiate the brightest fire in this year’s competition?
