YSC 2024

In 2024, the Youth Science Convention (YSC) Talks illuminated new facets of knowledge, with expert speakers delving into the ethics, rights, and preservation of our natural heritage, focusing on animal welfare. Meanwhile, the Case Study Competition (CSC) Phase II reached its brilliant conclusion on the 2nd of February 2024, where PROJECT LUPAD: Drone Geotagging & Geomapping System for the Avifauna of Gawahon Eco Park, a remarkable entry from Negros Occidental National Science High School, was crowned champion. The competition highlighted the students’ creativity, adaptability, and commitment to addressing the biodiversity challenges in the Philippines.

Embark on an enlightening journey as Research Fair 2025 brings forth an exciting iteration of the Youth Science Convention (YSC), now featuring three empowering talks, reintroduced Lab Tours, and Case Study Competition. Designed to equip, expand, and enable young innovators, each YSC talk brings a unique focus. Experience the immersive YSC Lab Tours, offering exclusive access to cutting-edge research at the nation’s top laboratories. Finally, witness the dazzling culmination of YSC with the Case Study Competition—where participants illuminate their creative solutions to some of the country’s pressing challenges. With workshops preceding final presentations, this event captures the brilliance of tomorrow’s innovators. Each school may register a maximum of 15 participants (excluding those participating in RC and NSC). Schools will be notified if there are available slots for the convention in case they wish to send additional students.
