This year, Research Fair 2026 radiates with the theme ATHANOR: Igniting the Youth to Blossom in their Potential. Inspired by the archaic athanor furnace known for its ability to withstand arduous chemical processes, the theme highlights the relentless spirit, glowing passion, and blazing desire of the youth to exceed beyond their innate potential.

This year’s theme embodies the process of maintaining a constant, self-sustaining thirst for scientific discovery and innovation. Celebrating its 25th year, the Fair draws inspiration from the flower Iris, the emblem of this milestone that signifies transformation and growth. Together, the Iris and the Athanor symbolize the legacy and future of Research Fair—an unbroken fire that for twenty-five years has kindled bright minds and cultivated the raw talents of Filipino youth as future leaders and innovators in science and technology.
